The Richmond Ren Faire, is a one-of-a-kind grassroots celebration created by and for Richmond. Rooted in community, the Faire brings together local performers, merchants, artists, and cultural organizations that reflect the city’s vibrant creative spirit.
Inspired by the multicultural exchanges of the Silk Road, it celebrates the diverse ideas, craftsmanship, and storytelling that made the Renaissance a global moment of connection while shifting the spotlight to the underrepresented tradesmen, artisans, and everyday people whose work truly shaped the era.
By weaving these narratives together with Richmond’s unique artistic voices, the Faire becomes both a reimagined history and a living celebration of community.

The Richmond Ren Faire fundraising kick off took place at Gallery5 on First Friday, March 7th 2025. This event was in partnership with Gallery5 & The Richmond Moon Market.
